Evidentemente, el pueblo más importante de este parque natural es el que lleva su nombre, pero en la zona también podemos encontrar otros pueblos que merece la pena visitar si decides pasar unos días las Casas Cueva Cazorla.
Disfruta de unos días llenos de actividades de turismo rural sin renunciar a ese descanso que tanto te mereces.
1. Pozo Alcón
Situado en la parte suroriental de la comarca de Cazorla, entre los valles del Guadalentín y el Guadiana Menor, Pozo Alcón se ubica en un entorno virgen y privilegia que te permite acceder a uno de los espacios naturales más variados y biodiversos de Andalucía. Un lugar ideal para disfrutar en familia de las tradiciones de la zona y de su amplia oferta de turismo activo.
No te olvides de visitar lugares emblemáticos como la Fuente Taza, el Embalse de la Bolera, Arroyo Guazalamanco, el Mirador de la Peña de Quesada o el coto intensivo de Peralta. Para comer, no te pierdas alguno de los restaurantes en Pozo Alcón.
2. Quesada
Es precisamente en este precioso pueblo de apenas 5.600 habitantes donde nace el río Guadalquivir. Pero además de por el atractivo que esto supone, esta localidad destaca por la gran belleza que le otorgan las cuevas con arte rupestre, las ruinas de la Villa romana de Bruñel, el Castillo de Tíscar y el propio casco urbano que todavía hoy conserva restos romanos, visigodos y árabes.

3. Cazorla
Llegamos a Cazorla, donde habitan 8500 personas que disfrutan a diario del Parque Natural de las Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas. Un auténtico paraíso donde disfrutar de la flora, la fauna, los monumentos, el paisaje, las fiestas, la artesanía y la gastronomía.
Además de los restos de origen ibérico, romano y árabe, se pueden encontrar monumentos que se encuadran entre los siglos XIV y XVII. Al principio las construcciones tuvieron una función defensiva-militar (Castillo de la Yedra y de Salvatierra). Tras la conquista de todos los territorios a los árabes, se generalizan las construcciones de tipo religioso (iglesias, conventos…).
No te pierdas las ruinas de la Iglesia Santa María en Realidad virtual, o un paseo por la bóveda del río Cerezuelo.
4. Castril
Castril pertenece a la provincia de Granada, es una tierra de contrastes, conjugando en un mismo entorno dos realidades disímiles, una especie de frontera entre las masas de bosques del norte de Andalucía y los parajes semiáridos de Granada y Almería.
Los habitantes de estas zonas han aprendido a sacar rendimiento a los recursos que esta sierra ofrece, no solo la madera sino también elaborando productos como la “miel de la sierra” o “miel de Cebas” que se elabora a partir del polen de romero, jaguarzo, alhucema, tomillo y otras especies propias de los romerales mediterráneos.
5. Hinojares
Hinojares, pequeño y tranquilo que conserva el auténtico sabor de los pueblos andaluces, calles estrechas y encaladas donde la pizca de color la ponen sus balcones y ventanas con los geranios. El agua aparece por cualquier rincón, acequias, fuentes, río.
Muy cerca del pueblo se encuentran dos salinas, una actualmente en producción de una forma totalmente artesanal. Y de especial mención son los “Restos Íberos de los Castellones de CEAL”, junto al valle del Guadiana.
Precisamente en Hinojares es donde podrás vivir una de las experiencias más inusuales y bonitas de todo el Parque de Cazorla: dormir en una cueva. Un alojamiento único, casas cueva y casas rurales con jacuzzi, decoradas con temáticas árabes, y serranas.
