La Sierra del Pozo, es una de las sierras que conforman el Parque Natural de las Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y las Villas. Es un enclave natural lleno de rutas de senderismo, piscinas naturales, miradores y un pantano espectacular.
Podrás practicar deportes de aventura, desde descenso de barrancos hasta senderismo, paseos en caballo o actividades acuáticas en el pantano de La Bolera. Es un lugar que no te defraudará si lo visitas.
Qué hacer en la Sierra del Pozo, Casas Cueva Cazorla
Río Guazalamanco y su cascada instagrameable
Cerca del pantano de La Bolera se encuentra la zona denominada Guazalamanco. Es un lugar especial, sobre todo en invierno y en época de lluvias, el agua se desliza por las enormes rocas creando una cascada espectacular. En invierno las pequeñas cascadas de agua se congelan.
Pantano de la Bolera
El embalse de la Bolera se encuentra apenas a 20 minutos en coche de las Casas Cueva Cazorla. Se trata de un lugar de mansas aguas cristalinas formadas por el río Guadalentín y retenidas por la presa de la Bolera, rodeado de una impresionante zona natural.
Forma un lago artificial de unos 6 kilómetros de largo, en el municipio de Pozo Alcón. El embalse acumula estas aguas sin contaminar, debido a que no hay ningún tipo de vertido en su cuenca. Esto propicia la presencia de una valiosa y variada fauna relacionada con el medio acuático.
El nacimiento real del río Guadalentín se encuentra bajo la superficie del pantano. El cual solo es visible cuando su nivel es bajo. Allí se sitúa una de las cuevas más grandes y extraordinarias, la PB4, con 9 kilómetros de extensión.
Es un lugar para disfrutar en días de calor. Hay zonas habilitadas para los bañistas y diferentes balcones y miradores para contemplar las vistas. Además, podrás disfrutar del turismo activo de la zona con actividades que podrás reservar en nuestra recepción o por teléfono antes de tu visita. Como los paseos en kayaks, Barranquismo, rafting…
Las pozas de Peralta
En el arroyo de Peralta, además de en el pantano de la Bolera, podrás darte un chapuzón en verano en sus pozas de agua cristalina.
Para llegar hay que tomar la carretera que va desde Pozo Alcón hasta el pantano. En el camino encontrarás una pequeña ermita construida en honor a San Gregorio, donde deberás girar hacia la derecha. Desde allí habrá que descender hasta el arroyo.
En la zona hay varios puentes de madera por los que pasear, las ruinas de un antiguo molino donde se conserva la cascada de agua que movía las ruedas del molino y una zona de merendero, además de varias pozas naturales en las que bañarse.
